Team Profile: Mark Gillespie NSW State Manager celebrating 10 years with All Lift!

When Mark started hanging out with our Director, Dean and his brothers, he couldn’t have guessed that tinkering around on their boat would lead to a 10 year (plus) career that he loves. 

Dean’s Dad and All Lift Founder, Bruce, saw potential for an onroad mechanic at All Lift in Mark, and after heading off for a job stint at Whistler, Mark, the mechanic by trade jumped right in. There was just one problem… While Mark nailed the new job as a machine mechanic, Bruce had given him his old All Lift phone. With that new phone, an influx of sales lead calls came through, that Mark dutifully fulfilled while simultaneously fixing machines on road. 

“It got to the point where it was a bit embarrassing. I’d be balancing this phone between my shoulder and ear, answering calls and questions about hire quote enquiries, while onsite for mechanical work.

“But I just kept doing them because everyone had Bruce’s number, and eventually I had to say to Dean, ‘Mate, I think there’s space here for me to be a sales rep”.

Dean agreed, and so set Mark on a path with All Lift that eventually landed him his current NSW State Manager position. Something he is extremely proud and passionate about.

“I’ve hit big life milestones while I’ve been here. Been married, had kids. Dean and Bruce were at my wedding! The ten years have honestly gone so fast because I’ve never counted it down. 

“I love coming to work, genuinely. Every day is different, there’s always something to learn and I work with a top team. No one is a number here, everyone has room to move and grow.”

Now looking forward to the next 10, 20, even 30 years, Mark credits his longevity as his greatest accomplishment at All Lift.

“Still walking into this place absolutely loving what I’m doing, still passionate about getting customers what they need, getting new customers and getting to work with this team feels like something to be really proud of.” 

Mark still has that same phone, too. Still getting calls from Bruce’s initial contacts and long term customers of All Lift.

“Just the other day someone called from eight or so years ago, on that same number, remembering who I was, and their experience with All Lift. Can’t beat it”. 

Mark Gillespie is not only an employee at All Lift Forklifts & Access Equipment, but he is part of our All Lift family. It’s been an absolute pleasure watching him learn, grow and be such a funny and integral part of our national team. Here’s to the next 10 years mate!
