Licensing and training requirements

With reference to the Telescopic Handler Association of Australia, the WorkCover NSW requirements are varied depending on the type of machine being used and its application.

The following require Gold Card Training (telehandler forklift training):

  • Telehandler 3 tonne and under (with forks attached)
  • Telehandler 3 tonne and over (with forks attached)
  • Telehandler with an attachment (i.e. a basket under 11) metres
  • Telehandler 3 tonne and under (with a jib or hook attachment)

A telehandler with an attachment such as a WP basket 11 metres or over requires a WP licence (elevating work platform boom 11 metres and over).

A telehandler over 3 tonne (with a jib or hook attached) requires a CN licence (crane licence).

All Lift Forklifts can offer training at the Rydalmere based training facility or on site for a minimum of four people. Contact us on 1300 729 700 or sales@allift.com.au for more information.
